Public betaStill in testing. Bugs may occur.

Configure command visibility, execution, aliases and tab completion from a private web editor connected directly to your Paper server.

Version 1.0.0Paper 26.1.2+Java 25+

Requirements

NexaCMD is built for Paper 26.1.2 or a newer compatible build and requires Java 25. The server must be able to make outbound HTTPS connections to the official NexaCMD website.

No inbound port is required. The plugin connects outward to the relay. It never opens a web server inside Minecraft.

Build target: Paper API 26.1.2 and Java 25. Automated policy, editor and relay tests are covered. In-game behavior with individual server plugins still needs verification on a test server; newer Paper versions are not automatically certified.

Installation

  1. Download NexaCMD 1.0.0.
  2. Place the JAR inside your server's plugins directory.
  3. Restart the Paper server.
  4. Run /nexacmd status to confirm the plugin is active.

Opening the web editor

Run /nexacmd editor as an operator or a sender with nexacmd.admin. Open the generated private HTTPS link. A normal visit to the website always opens the public homepage.

1Run the command/nexacmd editor
2Open the private linkThe token stays in the URL fragment.
3Save the policyChanges apply immediately.

Links expire after 30 minutes by default. Creating a new link revokes your earlier link. Logging out, losing permission, leaving the server or running /nexacmd revoke also ends access.

Working with the editor

Start from Overview or choose a section in the sidebar. Commands opens a searchable list; select a command to edit Access, Tab suggestions or Shortcuts. All commands returns to the list. Command groups organizes shared rules for several commands. Changes remain a draft until you save.

Review and bulk edit

Use Review changes next to Save to compare your draft with the saved configuration. More tools in the sidebar contains bulk editing, templates and server refresh. Every bulk action shows a comparison first and only updates the draft. Save sends it to Minecraft.

Draft recovery and conflicts

Unsaved drafts are kept in this browser for seven days, separately for each server and administrator. Open a new editor link to recover a draft. Changing the website language preserves your work.

Refresh from server merges your draft with the latest saved configuration. When the same item changed on both sides, choose which version to keep. After an uncertain save, refresh before saving again.

History and player preview

History retains the last 30 revisions on the Minecraft server, including the author and changes. Restore creates a draft for review. In Test commands, select an online player and read their current permissions to explain matched and skipped rules.

Player permissions are a snapshot. Read them again after changing the draft or the player permissions. Manual preview cannot check the original command permissions.

Command rules

A command rule controls whether a command appears in suggestions and whether a player can execute it. Enter labels without the leading slash.

OptionBehavior
HiddenRemoves the command and its tab suggestions while preserving manual execution.
BlockedPrevents execution and also hides the command.
PermissionApplies the rule only when the player has the given permission.
WorldsLimits the rule to a comma-separated list of worlds.
Wildcardminecraft:* matches every command in that namespace.

Command groups

Create a command group in two steps: name it and choose who it applies to, then select commands and their shared behavior. Review the changes and add them to your draft. Save applies the draft to the server.

Groups can organize commands for everyone or apply only to players with a permission. Use Add commands to expand a group, Change behavior for batch edits, and the command filter to find a group quickly. Rules with extra conditions remain available under Advanced rules.

Allow does not grant the original command permission. Global blocks and individual conditions still apply.

Groups bundle rules, aliases and completions behind one Bukkit permission. Create a group such as VIP with nexacmd.group.vip, then assign items through their Who is this for? field.

/lp group vip permission set nexacmd.group.vip true

Items outside a group are global. A paused group disables every assigned item. Each item can belong to one group.

Deleting a group requires a choice: delete its assigned items or move them to another group. Its items never become global automatically.

Tab completions

Custom completions target a command and an argument position from 1 to 32. Replace removes original suggestions at that position; Append keeps them and adds your values. Suggestions are filtered by what the player has already typed.

You can configure the same command and argument position once globally and once in each group. Global suggestions are applied first. Matching groups then form one layer: Replace clears the baseline once, and suggestions from all matching groups are combined.

Aliases

Aliases create real server commands and always execute as the original sender. Target permissions still apply, existing commands cannot be overwritten and blocked targets remain blocked.

Alias: hub
Target: spawn

Alias: message
Target: msg {args}

When {args} is omitted, player arguments are appended to the target. Alias chains are supported and cycles are rejected.

Default policies

Open Configuration → Command behavior → Advanced access settings to set default restrictions and a bypass permission.

Hide commands by default and Block commands by default turn the policy into an allowlist. Add a matching command rule and select Allow to allow an exception. NexaCMD administration stays available.

Configuration

  • Hide namespaced variants such as /minecraft:help.
  • Configure a bypass permission.
  • Show blocked messages in chat, the action bar or nowhere.
  • Log blocked attempts without logging arguments.
  • Hide aliases from the command menu while leaving them executable.
  • Use MiniMessage in the blocked-command message.

Permissions

PermissionDefaultPurpose
nexacmd.adminOPEditor access and plugin administration.
nexacmd.notifyOPReceives a summary when an editor saves changes.
nexacmd.bypassFalseBypasses hiding and blocking when configured.

Languages and MiniMessage

NexaCMD includes 16 languages: English, Czech, Slovak, German, French, Spanish, Russian, Italian, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Turkish, Dutch, Ukrainian, Simplified Chinese, Japanese and Korean.

language: en

Change the value in config.yml and run /nexacmd reload. Every message supports MiniMessage. The colored NexaCMD brand is fixed; prefix-arrow controls only the trailing arrow.

Security model

Editor tokens are temporary and represented by hashes at the relay. Configuration remains in the plugin and is transferred only for an active authorized session. Concurrent saves use revision checks to prevent silent overwrites.

Troubleshooting

Click the connection indicator or open More tools → Connection diagnostics to see the last response, link expiry and connection errors. Expired links can be replaced with a new editor command.

The editor says it is unavailable

Confirm the plugin is running, the private link is still valid and the server can reach https://79.175.93.27:8445 over HTTPS.

A player still sees a hidden command

Check the bypass permission, rule world and permission scope, group membership and namespaced variants.

An alias cannot be created

The alias may already be registered, target a missing command or form a cycle.
